Deciding on the location of your property

The location of the property you would like to buy is one of the most important factors. To be within walking distance of shops, market area, the beach, restaurants and bars is one of the main wishes of a holiday maker. This advantage will always be the first point to effect the rental and investment potential of your property in the future.

It is usual that you would find apartments of almost the same size, same number of bedrooms, same quality and in the same district ranging between 50,000-100,000 Euros. The main reasons making the difference is the location of the property, the view and the level of the apartment. You can find a ground floor apartment for 50.000 Euro, while you have to pay at least double the amount for a top floor apartment in the same building.

Another factor buyers must be careful of is to check to see if the area around the apartment is vacant land and if it is land for construction in the near future or if it has been allocated as green land or a park.

Ensure that the location you choose is supported with good quality and efficient infrastructure. The reason we mention this fact is that there has been an incredible boom in the construction industry in and around this area. The construction has grown faster then the necessary infrastructure such as roads, parking areas, water network, electricity network, sewerage system etc… The state institutions are having great difficulties in providing the infrastructural services required in these areas.

You have to ask yourself these questions:
- Where do I want to live?
- Do I want to live in a tourist resort?
- Do I want to mix with local culture?
- Or do I want both?

Besides that, special hobbies like golf will always make an important difference in choosing the right location. Belek is known as one of the best International Golf Resorts in the Mediterranean Countries and that is one good reason why golfers prefer to buy properties in or near Belek.

Another important factor is the distance of the property to the airport. It is understandable why some people prefer to buy a property near the airport. They are the ones who are tired of flying several hours overseas to reach their properties and who do not wish to spend more time driving from the airport to their properties.

We believe location is the main deciding factor and highly recommend our buyers join an inspection trip to view different locations before the decision making. We believe that buyers spend most of their time not in the apartment but in the area where the apartment is located and if they wish to be happy with their property they have to be happy with the location as well.
